with all this rock the vote business, did you have that mclovin fucker doing radio ads?

cos on the mornin of the 4th, onto the radio comes that shitehawk telling people to go out and vote, and that it doesn’t matter who they vote for (once they do vote), and that even though he doesn’t know anything about the candidates hes voting for one cause of the sound of his name.

now, if it was a joke, whatever the fuck, i don’t care.

but i took it to be true, and flipped. the most damn irresponsible thing (election-related of course) i could think of is to encourage people that its ok to vote without knowing anything about the candidates or their stances or whatever, and that irked me somewhat.

on a side note, the same radio station played interviews with obama supporters after it became clear he’d won. almost verbatim:

“Why did you vote for Senator Obama?”

“Oh, like, because he’s the greatest”

“How so?”

“Because he is”

(imagine…eh, a “valley girl” type accent).

the presenters of said program were heard to giggle.

I really need to triple my stock of AR mags, especially 20 rounders.

I’ve now heard a lot of you guys talking about the need for 20-round mags. Why? It’s not as if 30 round mags stop you from firing in the prone? What value do they have?

we fight for the full capacity magazines because we know the gun banners won’t stop at the crippled 10 or 5 round size. They want them all. They want them all at one small restriction at a time.

They want mandatory expensive safes for storage (make it more expensive)
They want yearly inspections (what fourth amendment?)
They want licenses, they want you to pay fees (how else are they going to pay for all those inspections?)
They want to raise those fees (only rich people should be able to afford firearms)
They want to know where every single firearm is (how else to round them all up?)
They want to limit the number of rounds you own (this keeps people from stocking up on something that essentially doesn’t go bad, and won’t get any cheaper)
They want “bullet control” (because the Constitution doesn’t say anything about your right to keep and bear ammo)
They want to ban the .50 BMG, and then ban the 458 Winchester Magnum, and then the 444 Marlin, and then the 8mm-06, and then anything over .308 (and then anything more powerful than .223…)
They want your expensive, accurate, finely crafted, scoped, bolt-action hunting^H^H^H^H^H sniper rifle (that only belongs on the battlefield).
