Adopt a Night Elf?

I’m a World of Warcraft geek. Granted, I’m not the geekiest of the geeks, but after a three-year off-and-on relationship with WoW, I have my night elf hunter (mining/engineering) up to level 68. (That’s 68 out of a cap of 70, for ye non-residents of Azeroth.)

Said hunter is on the Dethecus server. I chose that server because Mike played on it, and he chose it because his best friend played on it. Now, neither of them are there, and that makes me a sad, lonely little night elf.

Because I don’t know anybody on the server, and because I’m not the most hardcore player ever (those two kind of feed into each other), I have spent most of my time between 0 and 68 questing by myself. There are many instances I’ve yet to venture into, many group quests I haven’t bothered with, and so forth. I’m pretty undergeared. I could probably learn a thing or two or ten about how to play my character better. I’m sure my #1 instruction in a raid at this point would be “Don’t get everyone killed” - and I’m okay with that.

As I rapidly approach level 70, I find myself faced with the same quandary as when I once hit 60: I’m not really the PvP type, and random endgame questing always seems kind of pointless, so I either need to be on a server with people I enjoy doing stuff with, or not bother playing at all. If I’m going to invest time in the game after “beating” the level grind, I would prefer for it to have a social aspect.

So, here’s the deal: I’m willing to transfer my character to a new server, if somebody is willing to have me. I do prefer PvP servers, because world PvP seems more realistic (yes, you can laugh now) even if it annoys the hell out of me.

Commence recruitment! (Or else I’m so throwing myself off the top of Ironforge.)

Oh so sad. Seriously? Alliance? It will make me cry. You should roll a toon on the Eredar server (PvP IS more fun) and play horde. Night Elves? Do you have too many vowels in your name? Because if you do and we were to see you in our guild (Dead Zeppelin) then we’d have to kill you on site.

And if you do transfer your ally (shudder) toon to Eredar, don’t let anyone talk you into joining Senor Squirrel as a guild. They are kos as far as I’m concerned.

And don’t go with the PvE/Care Bear servers. A) they’re no fun and 2) you’re committed to stay PvE forever. And PvP is fun. You know how Earnhardt said “rubbin is racin”? Gankin’ is Wowin’.

Uhmm…. why not leave WoW for Age of Conan?

AoC is not nearly as gear dependant as WoW.

I can recommend a good RP-PVP server and guild, or a decent PVP one.

My guild was the first on our server to build a guild city, and successfully raid all available bosses.

Or, I can talk to you about a spare FrontSight membership.
