Patriots’ Day Pictures

Patriots’ Day pictures are after the jump. I don’t know if any of the rest of the PSOL crew care to appear on PGB, so I’ve cropped these accordingly.

Warning - 56k death! :)

Mike explains dispersion. Or, sings “I Believe I Can Fly” - you decide.

I demonstrate my new SERE tactic - “Look innocent and adorable.”

My hand freaks me out in this picture. I look like I have a hand like those people with the “lobster child” deformity. It took me a while to figure out that I have my index finger extended parallel to my barrel - so while it looks like the handguard is between my freak index and middle fingers, it’s really in a “C” between my thumb and middle finger and resting on my index finger. If that makes any sense. I invested time in explaining that because it really disturbed me.

I should make an animated .GIF out of the freak hand one and this one. It would be so annoying.

Lessons learned about fireteam rushes:
1) Hills suck.
2) Fall down the right way, or one of your legs will be unusable the next day.
3) 37 degrees is the perfect temperature.

Oh, heh - hello, denizens of subguns! I always feel weird popping in on forums I don’t usually frequent just because I’m mentioned… So, rather, please pass along my regards.

And, for the record - of course I’d love to play with NFA toys! ;)

Great way to spend a day, but the mismatch *sportssuit* of BDU top and MARPAT trou is a fashion faux pas. Easy cure: get a top to match the pants, and a pair of pants to match the top.

Nice little rifle, too. But it needs an M203….

Good eye, almost! That’s actually a Gore-Tex, not a BDU blouse. ;) I have access to plenty of MARPAT blouses and trousers (desert and woodland), as well as old USMC woodland - but we’re actually going with a different pattern for the official PSOL gear, so this was a temporary set-up.

To be honest, I was mostly trying to stay warm, this go-round. ;)

What you really should be pointing out is my entirely inappropriate jungle boots! But, never fear: The coyote deuce gear will be getting worked over, I’ll be investing in a good pair of solid combat boots, and hopefully by next muster shall have brand-spankin’-new, matching BDUs. The pattern choice is a secret for now.
