Do any of y’all watch BSG?
Some thoughts under the jump in the comments (warning – spoilery!).
EDIT: I decided to move my thoughts to the comments, since I don’t want to accidentally foist spoilers on somebody whose feed reader doesn’t correctly interpret the jump or something.

1. I never have liked Laura Roslin. My distaste is growing stronger with every passing episode.
2. I can’t shake the feeling that Lee is probably getting played. Then again, I kinda feel like the viewers are constantly getting played… so who knows.
3. That Starbuck/Anders scene was HOT.
4. I can’t say I saw the Callie thing coming, but she kind of annoyed me too, so if we’re going to sacrifice a character for the sake of plot advancement… sayonara!
5. WHO IS THE 5TH!?
1. She isn’t especially sympathetic, especially lately.
2. Probably getting played? Lee gets played like a fiddle by everyone.
3. They say “frack” too much. And “I want to frack”? That’s getting pretty racy, Sci-Fi!
4. Callie was lame. She was a prime candidate for airlock death.
5. You don’t think it’s Starbuck? Or maybe Roslin? She was having those visions with the Sixes…
Both Starbuck and Roslin seem way too obvious at this point.
Somebody threw the theory out a while back that it might be Callie – which would mean her kid with the Chief is pure Cylon, not a hybrid… which would answer the question about Cylons being able to reproduce (with a loving relationship).
Of course, if it’s Callie, that also likely means she’ll be back…
But I don’t know – she doesn’t seem like a very OMG!!!!!!! character to pick for the FINAL Cylon – it seems like they’d pick somebody with a little more oomph.
(MORE SPOILERS BELOW)
Also, did you see the “last supper” picture they had on the SciFi channel website? Apparently nobody appearing in that picture is an unknown Cylon… which rules out Roslin, Lee, Baltar, Starbuck, Helo, or the Admiral.
I think the final Cylon is the one person who has in one way or the other held everything together when shit was hitting the fan, and may be the one person the humans could accept in the long run.
Doc Cottle.
Oooh… GOOD THINKING.
1. Roslin used to be kind of neat. Back in season 2 I liked her better than I liked Col. Tigh.
2. Of course Lee is getting played. This is Zarek he’s dealing with. The guy who tried, TWICE, to assassinate Roslin so he could take over. The guy who backed Baltar as another gambit for power.
3. Oh man. This is why it even worked out between Kara and Anders. Anders is ALWAYS up for the rough sex, even the moment after hearing that his marriage was all a lie.
4. Cally used to be adorable the same way Kaylee on Firefly is. But she just has too much of the hysterical.
5. Zarek, obviously. Or maybe the bald tattooed Asian pilot.
Zarek seems kind of obvious, too. He’s a pretty sinister character, so it would figure he’d turn out to be a Cylon. I’m more inclined to go with the “good guy Cylon” theory – maybe Daddygod is spot-on with Doc Cottle?
Re: Callie – I always have a hard time sympathizing with characters who act irrationally based on what I know – even if they’re acting rationally based on what they know.
I wonder if there’s anything to the fact that, when Starbuck “died,” they didn’t show her dead… As opposed to Callie, who they made a big point to show all space-freezer-burned and apparently quite dead.
Yes but who’s more of a good guy than the bald tattooed Asian pilot?
Cally was only adorable in the first season, and maybe the second. Honestly, marrying the Chief didn’t make much sense to me.
I think they showed that Cally was dead just to freak us out. I mean, it makes a hell of a down ending to the episode.
